Chili Lime Mango Margaritas

Some days, you wake up and by about midday, you know that it's a margarita kind of day. If today is that day for you, definitely give this one a try.

Instead of just making a lime margaritas, we added in mango for a sweet twist. But we added some flame - a zesty, spicy salt rim. Talk about a drink with all the flavors. 

This margarita is sure to heat you up in all the good ways while cooling you off at the same time.  It pairs the beautiful flavor of ripe mango with the satisfying chili powder spice in the comfort of your favorite drink. Cheers!

Chili Lime Mango Margaritas Recipe

Sweet, juicy mango and citrusy lime pair well in this margarita recipe. Plus, don’t forget to rim your glasses with our zesty, spicy salt mix!


For the Margaritas

  • 1 cup mango peeled and chopped (1 mango)
  • 3 ounces tequila
  • 2 ounces triple sec
  • 2 ounces pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup
  • Ice

For the Chili Salt Rim

  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon finely grated lime zest


  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Blender
  • Shot glass or jigger
  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cups
  • Grater
  • Small plate for chili salt rim
  • Two margarita glasses

Recipe Steps:

Salt your glasses:

  1. On a small plate mix the salt, chili powder and lime zest together.
  2. Wipe a lime wedge on the rim of the glasses and dip the glass in on the plate of zesty, chili salt. Twirl the rim of the glass along the plate to get the rim well coated. 

Prepare the margaritas:

  1. In a blender, add the mango chunks, pineapple juice, tequila, triple sec, lime juice and simple syrup. Blend until smooth.
  2. Fill the salted glasses with ice and pour the margaritas.
  3. Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy!

Serving Suggestions:

Enjoy these sweet and spicy margaritas during a summer cookout with friends or serve up at a tropical themed party.

Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy! If you’re more of a sugar rim kinda person, substitute the salt for sugar for added sweetness.

If not serving right away, cover and chill the mango margarita in the refrigerator until ready to serve. If you like your margaritas icy cold, pour the margarita mix in a cocktail shaker with ice and give it a good shake before pouring it into the salt-rimmed glasses.
