Coconut Guava Cocktail

If you can’t get away for a little island vacation this year, you will with this tropical drink! Take a few sips of our coconut guava cocktail, and you’ll be dreaming of your next getaway. This drink is made with coconut rum, coconut water, fresh guava and a splash of zesty lime juice.

White guavas are super sweet and compliment the nutty, creamy coconut flavors in this cocktail so well. Add other tropical juices like pineapple or mango for added fruitiness or enjoy this simple but perfect duo as is with the coconut and guava.

Serve these drinks at a party or enjoy them with a coconut-infused meal to complete the whole spread of food.

Coconut Guava Cocktail Recipe

Coconut and guava are a perfect combo, and this drink serves them up well together. The tropical flavors will whisk you away to your favorite island getaway! Add coconut water or coconut milk in place of the white rum and coconut rum to make the drinks into mocktails.

Ingredients:

  • 1 white guava peeled and seeded
  • ½ cup coconut water
  • 1 ounce white rum
  • 2 ounces coconut rum
  • 1-ounce lime juice
  • ½ ounce simple syrup

Equipment:

  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Spoon
  • Peeler
  • Blender
  • Two glasses
  • Shot glass or jigger
  • Measuring cups

Recipe Steps:

Prepare the white guava:

  1. Peel the guava and slice it in half.
  2. Scoop out the seeds with a spoon and discard.
  3. Add the flesh to the blender.

Prepare the cocktail:

  1. Add the coconut water, white rum, coconut rum, lime juice and simple syrup to the blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into two ice-filled glasses.
  4. Garnish with a lime wedge or slice.

Serving Suggestions:

If you love your cocktails super icy cold, shake the cocktail mix in a shaker with ice before transferring to serving glasses. 

To make the drink a mocktail, add more coconut water to replace the white rum and coconut rum or a splash of coconut milk for added creaminess and sweetness. 

For garnish, add a lime slice or wedge to the glass. If you have toothpicks, try adding a wedge or two of white guava for added yumminess!
