How can you not love the idea of cream puffs, "caviar" limes and brains!  Come on son!  It doesn't even need to be Halloween to love this idea, though Halloween is peak season for caviar limes.  Scare some up today!

Cream puffs are amazing on their own, but top them with chocolate and caviar limes and you got a whole new level of amazingness! Serve these Halloween treats at your next Halloween party and impress your guests!

When you bite into one of these brains you’ll get that chocolaty crunch, followed by creamy goodness and finished with a burst of citrus. Talk about a flavor powerhouse! Guests will be wondering what you did to get all that amazing flavor in these spooky bite-sized desserts. 

Frankenbrains Recipe

Serve up our spooky but tasty Frankenbrains this Halloween! Delish cream puffs, drizzled in chocolate and topped with our caviar limes make for a fun treat.

Ingredients:

  • 30 cream puffs
  • 11-ounce bag of white chocolate baking chips (2 cups)
  • Green food coloring
  • 4-5 caviar limes

Equipment:

  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Serving platter
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Glass container to microwave the chocolate
  • Fork to mix the melted chocolate

Recipe Steps:

Prepare the cream puffs:

  1. Let the cream puffs defrost.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the cream puffs across the sheet.

Melt the white chocolate:

  1. In a glass container, such as a liquid measuring cup, add your white chocolate chips.
  2. Microwave in 30-second increments and stir with a fork until the chocolate melts completely.
  3. Stir in the green food coloring until you reach your desired color.

Create the Frankenbrains:

  1. Slowly drizzle the green white chocolate over the cream puffs.
  2. Top with a pile of caviar lime pearls.
  3. Allow the chocolate to cool and set before transferring to a serving platter. 

Serving Suggestions:

Well, Halloween - of course! But these bite-sized treats can be enjoyed on other occasions like St. Patrick’s Day. Hello, green holidays!

Serve these up for a Halloween party along with other favorite spooky dishes. If you want to get extra spooky with your Frankenbrains, add cherry licorice or red food gel and make an outline of a brain over the chocolate.
