Loquat Crumble

A homemade crumble evokes a sense of nostalgia and coziness that is always a hit, regardless of the company. This recipe is a great way to get that sense of comfort while using up the pile of loquats your neighbor just brought over from the tree in their yard. Of course, the best friend of a crumble is vanilla ice cream. Your friends and family will be raving about it this dessert for weeks to come, and it couldn't be easier to make.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2.5 cups loquats, peeled, seeded and roughly halved or quartered
  • 1 cup sugar, divided
  • 2 Tablespoons finely chopped crystallized ginger
  • ¾ cup all purpose flour
  • ½ cup chopped macadamia nuts
  • pinch salt
  • ½ cup salted butter
