This divine hot chocolate goes down like a dessert. After a few sips, you won’t’ be going back to the usual store-bought dry mix. Plus, it’s easy to make and takes little time. Heat it all together on the stove, whisk until smooth and velvety and top with whipped cream and peppermint candies. If you need the dream winter dessert, this hot chocolate takes the cake.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Whipped cream for garnish
  • Crushed peppermint candies for garnish

Recipe Steps:

Prepare the hot chocolate:

  1. Heat the milk in a small pot over low-medium heat, making sure the milk doesn’t come to a boil.

  3. Whisk the mixture until it becomes smooth and thick.
