Spicy Guacamole Bites

Don’t be fooled! These tiny bites may look cute but they pack a punch - a punch of spice! Prepare our spicy guacamole bites for a fun spicy appetizer or bite-sized snack. They’re full of flavor and satisfying crunchy goodness.

The base of these bites are nut thins with a smear of spicy guacamole topped with a slice of radish. We used almond thins that don’t have an overly powerful flavor so that the main thing you taste is the spicy guac!

The thins are crisp and provide the perfect crunch paired with a fresh slice of radish on top. These bite-sized nibbles are quick to disappear since they go down so easily. Make a large platter of them for the next gathering you host!

Spicy Guacamole Bites Recipe

  • Prep Time: 30 minutes
  • Servings: 4
  • Good for: snacks, parties, gluten-free, vegan options
  • Difficulty: easy

Guacamole bites made on nut thins topped with a slice of radish and cilantro are a delish, spicy appetizer you’re guests will love. Made with nut thins, so they’re a gluten-free appetizer most friends can enjoy. If you’re vegan, check to see if the nut thins are made with animal products.

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium avocados
  • 1-2 seeded and minced serrano peppers
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 32 nut thins
  • ½ cup sliced radishes

Equipment:

  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Potato masher or fork
  • Serving plate or plater

Recipe Steps:

Make the spicy guacamole:

  1. In a mixing bowl add the avocado, serrano pepper, lime juice, garlic and salt.
  2. Mash with a potato masher or fork until well combined.
  3. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Add more serrano pepper if more spice is needed.

Prepare the Bites:

  1. Lay the nut thins on a serving plate.
  2. Spread a dollop of guacamole on each cracker (about 1 tablespoon).
  3. Top with a slice of radish and tuck a leaf of cilantro underneath the radish.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve these spicy bites as an appetizer and wash them down with spicy margaritas. The lime, zest and spice pair perfectly together!

When prepping the bites, make sure to make as many as you think you’ll need as these bites won’t keep well after serving. The cracker will soften if the guacamole sits for hours, so don’t plan to store these after making them.
