Garlic scapes are the tender tops of the flower bud stem, ready right before the garlic is ready to start harvesting. The scapes are only available for a few weeks each year, and have a mild, sweet and slightly garlicy flavor. They are amazing to use in any recipe calling for garlic or even better grilled and served on the plate!

Keeps for one to three weeks.

If you plan on using the scapes in the next few days, place them in a jar with water for an exceptional centerpiece. If you want to wait, seal them in a plastic bag and store in your fridge for two to three weeks.
