Organic apples fresh like you picked them right off the tree! And since they are protected by Apeel, they will stay fresh for twice as long as store bought apples.

Your order is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If you are not 100% satisfied, please contact us within seven (7) days of the delivery and we will make it right.

Your apples will be shipped FedEx 2-Day air directly from Washington on the ship date indicated on this page and in your email receipt.  There is a flat rate shipping fee of $9 added to your order at checkout.  You will receive an email with your shipment's tracking number when shipped.

Fujis, Granny Smiths, and Honeycrisps are all great for baking, cooking and eating fresh because of their sweet-tart flavor profile! For this reason your sweeter variety, Galas, are better for making applesauce and for eating fresh, but not recommended for baking. Apple pie’s already sweet enough. Enjoy everyone’s favorite fall snack however you love to get your apple a day.

Olympic Fruit Co. makes business easier for family-run farms. They represent generations of farmers who shifted to apple growing from hops, in the mid-60’s. Apples have been their saving grace in tough times. They came together to form a packhouse that would be grower-centric. Farmers in the region were having difficulty getting their product out into the market at a fee that could make sense for their business. The collective is pretty revolutionary—founded by four legacy farms of the Yakima Valley, they now serve over 50+ growers. The growers are all dedicated to reimagining the future of food, looking to the diversification of crops and soil regeneration—two tenets of regenerative agriculture.

Apeel’s plant-based solution provides a little extra peel to fruits and vegetables.  This extra protective layer locks in moisture and keeps out oxygen, the two main factors in food spoilage.  As a result, each piece of fruit lasts two times as long, giving you more time to enjoy.  More importantly, it also means a huge reduction in the 40% of food that is currently wasted globally.  By buying produce protected by Apeel, you not only get something that tastes amazing but you’re doing your part to ensure that we’ll have enough food to feed the planet in the next 50 years.

The Food Project’s mission is to create a thoughtful and productive community of youth and adults from diverse backgrounds who work together to build a sustainable food system. When produce is fresh, it not only looks better but more importantly it tastes better and contains a higher density of nutrients. Apeel makes it possible for growers to optimize their practices and avoid harvesting before ripeness, allowing fruits and vegetables to develop full quality (from nutrition and delicious flavor to appearance and texture) before they embark on the journey to the grocery store.

Apeel is made of plant-derived materials — lipids and glycerolipids — that exist in the peels, seeds, and pulp of all the fruits and vegetables we already eat.

Apeel is not GMO. Our products are not derived from genetically engineered plant material.

Allergic responses can be triggered when the protein from an allergenic source is present in a food product. Apeel products are not protein-based, but rather lipid-based — and lipids are not a source of regulated allergens. We also conduct testing to confirm the absence of regulated allergens. That said, if you have a known allergy or sensitivity to a fruit or vegetable, you should continue to avoid it whether or not it is an Apeel fruit or vegetable.

Yes! Apeel is edible, safe to eat, and fully compliant with all U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulations. Because Apeel is made of widely used plant-derived materials — lipids and glycerolipids — that are commonly found in foods, it is designated FDA GRAS or “Generally Recognized As Safe.”

What makes this apple special is the community behind it. Olympic Fruit Co. is a small collective, doing big things! Founded by four legacy family farms, they now serve over 50+ small farms in the Yakima Valley. They are bringing farmers together to build community, and find more sustainable ways to run their family farms.

This is what makes it possible for us to enjoy apples like we visited the farm and picked them fresh off the tree. Did you know apples sometimes sit for more than 30 days before you grab one in the produce section?

Let’s leave it to the apple experts who are able to determine peak ripeness, flavor, and crunch! Though common in apple varieties, these apples are hand-picked at peak ripeness and are protected by Apeel, so they will stay fresh for twice as long as store-bought apples.

And best of all, with every purchase, Apeel is donating $1 to The Food Project, an incredible non-profit that helps support hundreds of small farms across the country.

What's In The Box
  • 8 - 10 organic apples straight from the farm in Moxee, Washington
  • Apples will rotate based on small-scale harvests of Honeycrisp, Gala, Granny Smith and Fuji

Apples

I was actually disappointed this time, as the first apple I cut up to eat had lots of bruising. I was shocked, thinking they would be better then the ones I buy locally. I’m still happy that I was able to support a family farm.
