For thirty years, Wimal and Elita Suaris’ ten-acre farm in Redlands, Florida has been an oasis of the rarest varieties of avocados, longans, passion fruit and many more tropical crops. At Serendib Farms, the team is ushering in spring and harvesting green mangoes, a seasonal delicacy. As always, Wimal and Elita are excited to share this harvest with the FruitStand community.

Your raw or green mangoes will arrive ready to eat. DO NOT wait for your green mangoes to ripen. They are picked at the perfect ripeness to be enjoyed as is.
Nam Doc Mai and Pim Seng Mun green mangoes have a refreshingly sweet taste that is light and not overly sugar forward. The Chef’s Box from Serendib Farms includes enough green mango to make a large salad for your family or enjoy ample snacking.
After rinsing your green mangoes, peel the fruit to reveal the light-yellow to white flesh underneath the peel. Fruit will vary in color. It will be more firm than a ripe bright-orange mango. Slice in half lengthwise on either side of the stone if scoring and cubing the mango. If you’re making a salad you can slice julienne style or cut into matchsticks and toss with a simple dressing for added flavor.
Serendib Farms is a small, 10-acre farm located in Redlands, Florida run by husband and wife team, Wimal & Elita Suaris. From Sri Lanka and the Philippines, the Suaris' share a passion for tropical living and cultivating the most unique, climate-appropriate produce. Wimal and Elita have spent the last 35 years in southern Florida, focused on growing the rarest varieties of avocados, longan, passion fruit and many more tropical crops, embracing their short, limited-run harvest windows.
