Important Information About
Summer Stone Fruits
Stone fruit will be firm when unripe. Let your fruit sit on the counter at room temperature as needed to ripen. Check daily. When you apply gentle pressure to the fruit and it gives a little, it is ripe and ready to enjoy. Be careful to not bruise the fruit when you give it a squeeze, this means it may be a little overripe but can be just as delicious.
WARNING: Stone fruits have a hard center pit that is not edible.
To enjoy, eat fresh out of hand or slice in half around the pit, then twist to pull the halves apart to remove the pit. Consume as is or slice into wedges and cubes depending on how you intend to eat your stone fruit.
Store your stone fruits at room temperature until ripe, then enjoy or refrigerate for up to 5-7 days.

Meet The Farm
K&K Ranch
K&K Ranch is a diverse fruit and nut farm, owned by the Kashima Family and operated by a fourth generation, great-grandson.
Stanford and June Kashima’s 40-year dream stands the test of time. They sell dried and fresh fruits, nuts and preserves at local farmers' markets. As a small farm operating in the Central Valley of California, K&K Ranch is committed to the craft of growing food on a small scale, and motivated to keeping their small farm alive for many more generations to come.
Experience
K & K Ranch’s Summer Stone Fruits
K & K Ranch’s Summer Stone Fruits thrive on long sunny days and cool nights, readying them to be hand-harvested at the peak of the season for ideal ripeness and flavor.
Tasting Notes
K & K Ranch’s Magic Fire Yellow Peaches, Polar Z White Nectarines, and Coral Cot Apriums are juicy, plump and grown for fresh eating out of hand. This experience spans the spectrum of summer flavors—from mildly sweet apriums, to tangy nectarines, to richly sweet peaches.
About The Harvest
Growing over 40 varieties of fruit and nuts on 100 acres of land, K & K Ranch is committed to crop diversity and hand-selecting the varieties they love to share with their community near and far. Each piece of stone fruit is hand-picked and packed with care. Now with the 4th generation at the helm, Stanford and June’s great grandson is excited to share the farm’s Summer Stone Fruits, coming directly from Orosi, California.
K & K’s Magic Fire Yellow Peaches are soft, deliciously plump and delicately sweet. This unique variety is harvested from younger peach trees that are only producing a limited harvest this year. The Polar Z White Nectarines are a refreshing and tangy snack. Both their peaches and their nectarines are ideal for fresh eating out of hand, but can also be enjoyed grilled or in baked desserts like cobblers, pies and tarts.
These rosy-golden apricot-plum hybrids, the Coral Cot Apriums, have smooth, tender flesh, and are grown for fresh eating and snacking as well. They are larger than their apricot cousins (about the size of a small peach), with a more generous pit to fruit proportion. Their lower sugar content imparts a mild sweetness that is also ideal for glazes, jams and desserts.
All produce is shipped direct from K & K Ranch in California, using FedEx two-day shipping to guarantee freshness.
Where It Is Grown

It turns Out That I am VERY Selfish ...
It has been SO long since I have had California stone fruit. I was NOT dissapointed with this box! And to prove a point, I actually did let my son and DIL split one of the peaches do I’m not totally selfish. Don’t let anybody try to fool you, Texas fruit doesn’t come close to what is grown in California. Now I just need to find a way to get this shipment year round!
